Gap Filling
Gap filling is highly recommended for wooden Floors, especially floorboards and hardwood floors, this can be very effective in ground floor rooms with voids underneath, this is one of the best ways to keep out cold air draughts coming up from beneath the Floor.
Dust & Resin Mix
Pine slivers to fill gaps in floorboards. They are long, wedge-shaped strips of wood, that we put into gaps.To get the best results, we use the slivers made of reclaimed pine.

Wire Brushing
The wire brush removes the softer wood between the hard wood, adding depth and texture to the surface. This allows a coloured oil to settle into the grain, creating a two-dimensional effect, while enhancing the natural pattern of the wood.
Staining
A stain is applied to wood during the finishing process. It is pigmented to change the colour of the wood, and there are several colours of stains available. Most stains resemble natural wood colours, such as oak, walnut or pecan. However, they help to bring out a wood’s natural characteristics. Some woods do not absorb stain well, while others readily soak it up. It can sometimes be difficult to achieve a smooth, even appearance with stain, and it often requires several rounds of staining and sanding in order to complete the project. Stains are created using different binders. There are oil based, water based and spirit stains.
Oil & Hardwax
Wood floors need a high level of protection against moisture, scuffs, scratches and wear.
An oil finish penetrates the wood fibres to harden them while not altering the natural beauty of the wood. With no visual film on the surface, oiled floors are distinguishable by their elegant patina. They are easy to care for and are repairable.
Varnishing & Lacquering
Lacquer is a clear, hard, durable finish that sits on the surface of the wood. This provides an added layer of protection against every day wear and tear and can actually help the wood become somewhat water resistant making spills a lot easier to clean.
As much protection as lacquer finishes provide, because it sits at the surface of the boards, over time the layer will get worn away which means that the bare wood will become exposed and the floor will require re-sanding and refinishing on a regular basis.
Lacquer can come in any sheen level from ultra matte to high gloss.
